The King and I

Original British Quad Poster for this 1956 film. This re-release poster dates from the 1965. Rodgers and Hammerstein's marvellous Broadway success is recreated with the superb Yul Brynner as The King of Siam earning an Oscar here. The costumes were designed by Irene Sharaff who begged Yul Brynner to shave his head the result was a success and an amazing trademark for the actor.
